Is your worth negociable?

One of the biggest shifts happens, when you stop explaining yourself.
Because when someone asked me: ‘So what have you been doing lately?’
I used to shrink. I used to justify. I used to perform.
I’d feel this subtle guilt, like I had to prove I was still worthy… because I hadn’t built something visible.
But here’s what I’ve realized:
My worth is not up for debate.
It’s not a topic of negotiation.
It’s not tied to output, performance, or visibility.
My worth simply is.
It’s anchored in my presence, not my proof.
It’s inside — and no one can take that from me.
So when someone asks me, ‘What have you been doing?’
I smile and say: ‘I’ve been doing very well, thank you. You?’
No more justification.
No more apologizing for existing.
And that… is freedom.
